We clean the tracks and sills so your windows work better

Track & Sill Cleaning in Knoxville, TN

Window tracks are where the grime hides. Grit, dead insects, mildew, and years of dust pack into the channels until windows stick, screens won't seat, and the sills look grimy no matter how clean the glass is.

Underwood's track and sill cleaning digs all of that out. We detail the channels, wipe down the sills, and get the moving parts moving again — a small service that makes a surprisingly big difference in how your windows look and work.

What’s Included

Why It Matters

Dirty tracks aren't just unsightly — packed debris keeps windows from closing and sealing fully, which lets in drafts and moisture, and clogged weep holes can trap water that leads to mildew and rot. Clean tracks help your windows seal, slide, and last.

It's also the detail that separates a good cleaning from a great one. Spotless glass over a filthy sill never quite looks finished; clean both and the whole window looks new.

Signed up for the quarterly plan after the first visit and it's the best home decision we've made. Windows always look great, scheduling is automatic, and they treat our house with real respect. Five stars.

Frequently Asked Questions

My windows stick — will track cleaning fix that?
Very often, yes. Most 'sticking' windows are just fighting packed grit in the channels. Once the tracks are clear, sashes usually glide freely again. If there's a mechanical issue underneath, we'll let you know what we see.
What are weep holes and why do they matter?
Weep holes are the small drainage openings at the bottom of the track that let rainwater escape. When they clog, water pools in the track and can lead to mildew or leaks. We clear them as part of the service.
Can you get rid of the mildew in my sills?
In most cases, yes. We clean away surface mildew and buildup as part of track and sill cleaning. Deeply set staining in old caulk may need more than cleaning, and we'll tell you honestly if that's what we find.
